The Advisory Board, often referred to as the Church Committee, was constituted to conduct the affairs of
the community.
The Church President is elected by the entire congregation and can serve for three terms of two years each.
He is considered the lay head of the church and presides over Advisory Board meetings.
The Vice President is appointed in consultation with the Advisory Board Members to assist him.
The church Secretary, who is also elected by the entire congregation, records and reads all minutes during
Advisory Board Meetings and keeps all books and files of all church activities. He also makes all the
correspondence of the church as well keeps files of incoming and outgoing correspondence.
The Assistant Secretary is appointed from the nominees to the Advisory Board to assist the Secretary.
The Financial Secretary is elected by the entire congregation and is responsible for receiving all monies
coming to the church and handing them over to the Treasurer to be deposited in the bank. He is required to
present monthly financial statements to the Board, and quarterly financial statements to the church.
The Treasurer, the last person to be elected by the congregation banks all monies coming to the church. He
is required to reconcile the accounts with the Financial Secretary.
The Catechist and his Assistant are responsible for the teaching of catechism and preparing candidates for
confirmation and sacrament. They prepare the altar for the celebration of Mass and keep all liturgical books.
Other members of the Board include representatives of all societies in the church and the clergy who can
contribute at meetings and give advice.
