Thoughts from the President
Ghanaian Catholic Community
At Christ The King Church
Sunday Mass at 5PM
Isaiah Chapter 55, 1 - 6
1 All you who are thirsty, come to the water! You who have no money, come, receive grain
and eat; Come, without paying and without cost, drink wine and milk!
2
Why spend your money for what is not bread; your wages for what fails to satisfy? Heed me, and you
shall eat well, you shall delight in rich fare.
3
Come to me heedfully, listen, that you may have life. I will renew with you the everlasting covenant,
the benefits assured to David.
4
As I made him a witness to the peoples, a leader and commander of nations,
5
So shall you summon a nation you knew not, and nations that knew you not shall run to you, Because
of the LORD, your God, the Holy One of Israel, who has glorified you.
6
Seek the LORD while he may be found, call him while he is near.
The Ghanaian Catholic Community at Christ The King Church invites you to worship with us every Sunday
at 5 pm. We reflect the true Ghanaian cultural heritage because our parish is broad based, with all regions, and
almost all districts and languages of Ghana represented. Chances are that you will meet that long lost family
member or that friend from your hometown you have not seen in ages.
Our choir is incomparable and arguably the most talented. You will leave Mass every Sunday with tears of joy
after you join them, even with your "abokyi part", in singing to the glory of God all these wonderful hymns in
our local traditional languages. I confess that I myself joined the church largely because of how I was "touched"
by the prodigious songs the choir belted out during my first visit there. Come see for yourself. I promise you
one thing: you too shall be touched.
Our Chaplain and all the Priests, Liturgical Committee, Charismatic Group, the Youth, St. Theresa's, Welfare
Committee are all waiting with loving and caring arms to ensure your happy stay and spiritual fortification.
As Isaiah says above: "Seek the LORD while he may be found, call him while he is near." We try at Christ
The King every day to do so. Please join us. You will find a happy, spiritual, and a truly Ghanaian Catholic
Community that you can call Home.
We look forward to seeing you soon.
