                                              THE WELFARE COMMITTEE

The Welfare Committee was established under Article 5:5 of the Church’s Constitution to oversee the
welfare of all active members of the Church.. The Committee assists all active members and in good standing
in the event of birth, marriage, sickness and death. It consists of a Chairman, a Vice Chairman and seven (7)
other members, which is made up of all the Day Group leaders. The current (2006-08) members of the
Welfare Committee are;

In addition to the following members, the President, in consultation with the Advisory Board has appointed
the following prominent members of our community to assist the Welfare Committee in its duties; Mr. and
Mrs. Ankamah, Mr. Kwamena Panford, Ms. Alberta Osei, Mr. Obeng and         Mr. and Mrs. Stephens.


                                        A MEMBER IN GOOD STANDING

For a member to enjoy the full welfare benefits, the following stipulated conditions must be met:

  1. Must have been a member in for at least six (6) months.
  2. Must have paid his/her dues ($5.00 a month) up to the previous six (6) months.
  3. Must have paid his/her harvest dues up to the previous year.
  4. Must attend at least 50% or 5 out of 10 last church’s welfare activities-record to be kept by the
    Welfare Committee.
  5. Must have made 70% or 7 out of 10 obligatory contributions.
  6. Any community member who due to job or other obligations cannot personally participate in the
    Church’s and welfare activities MUST inform the Welfare Committee. This includes absences due
    to traveling.

Failure to make ones monetary contributions is not acceptable. Every member must make all the necessary
arrangements to meet his/her monetary obligations.
